The HARDY, which is relatively large for the TYMER lineup and has a sunglasses-like size, has been redesigned and updated to HARDY2.
We have revised the overall design, changing the previously straight brow line at the top of the front to a shape that better suits Japanese people, creating a subtle balance that could become a new standard.

Lens Types
・GYP lens: Polarized lens that cuts reflected light and maintains clear vision.
・PGY lens: Photochromic lens that changes brightness according to the amount of UV light.

Polycarbonate Polarized Lenses

Polarized lenses are more effective at cutting glare and reflected light. They contain a special film called a polarizing filter that cuts reflected light. The major difference from ordinary sunglass lenses is that polarized lenses reduce light intensity and cut only reflected light, providing a more comfortable field of vision. The goal is to achieve more comfort and better vision. We selected polycarbonate polarized lenses as the ideal choice for all sports scenes, as they can withstand harsh conditions, high temperatures, and strong impacts, ensuring long-term stability and safety.

Photochromic Polarized Lenses

These lenses combine the function of photochromic lenses, which change brightness depending on the amount of UV light, with the function of polarized lenses, which are more effective at cutting glare and reflected light. When exposed to strong UV light outdoors, the lenses darken, and when in areas with weak UV light, such as indoors, they lighten. The polarizing function reduces light intensity and cuts only reflected light, providing a more comfortable field of vision, which is a major feature. The material used is polycarbonate, which is characterized by its extreme resistance to breakage (over 30 times stronger than acrylic) and its property of not shattering even if it breaks. Because of its high safety, even used in airplane windows, it has the highest impact resistance among plastic materials. It is resistant to breaking even when hit with a hammer and is sometimes used in bulletproof materials. We selected polycarbonate lenses as the ideal choice for all sports scenes.

Frame & Flexible Temple Arms

The frame material is TR-90, developed by EMS from Switzerland.
It is lightweight, highly elastic, has shape memory, and is excellent in heat and moisture resistance.

It also features high durability and a long lifespan.
The temple tips (ear hooks) of TYMER products have a built-in wire frame, allowing you to change their shape by gently applying force after warming them.
The temple tips significantly affect comfort and fit, so they are designed to be adjustable to the optimal shape for each individual.

Nose Pads

TPR is used for the nose pads that touch the skin.
TPR material, with its rubber-like properties, excellent oil and weather resistance, ensures a gentle and comfortable fit against the skin and superior grip suitable for active use.

Additionally, similar to the temple arms, the nose pad arms are adjustable, designed to be changed to the optimal shape for each individual.

Temple Rubber

TPR is used on the inner side of the temple arms.
The temple rubber comes in different colors depending on the model.
With its rubber-like material properties and excellent oil and weather resistance, TPR material ensures a gentle and comfortable fit against the skin and superior grip suitable for active use.
